Before we learned about the Ellen MacArthur Foundation and Circular Economy, prior to Greta Thunberg’s fiery speech at the U.N. Climate Action Summit, we looked at a bunch of unravelled yarn from vintage kimono off-cuts, remnant embroidery floss, used bubblewrap and thought:
What a waste of precious materials. How can we reuse them?
That’s when we tossed the bunch of yarn and floss between 2 layers of bubblewrap, ironed the lot and fell in love. The resulting material was waterproof, hardy, beautifully hued and textured.
